Auditing (Phase II) 250 credit hours, with the focus on "seeing." "Seeing" human structure and movement is an indispensable prerequisite to Structural Integration work. The way we see the whole person is the hallmark distinguishing Practitioners of the Ida P. Rolf Method of Structural Integration from other body workers. True sight is not casually acquired; acquiring it is hard work, perhaps even a life-long process. Convinced that "seeing" presented a most difficult yet essential and important task for practitioners, Dr. Rolf created auditing so that students could begin to train their sight before doing their work. Today, auditors in GSI classes principally observe sessions, participate in lectures, have group discussions and engage in other learning activities as part of their experience. Basic 10 Series session exchanges are not performed by the auditors during this part of the training, although palpation skills applicable to SI sessions are explored. Prerequisite: GSI Phase I or massage license. Please complete and submit the Basic Training Application. Once accepted into the GSI training program you will receive a registration link. The Practitioner Class (Phase III) 250 credit hours, concentrates on manipulative instruction and practice by students who have successfully completed the Auditing Class. During the weeks of Structural Integration studies, each student-practitioner works with 3 models who receive the standard ten sessions of Structural Integration. In this phase, the student practitioner also exchanges the ten sessions with a designated partner. All manipulation work is directly supervised by the class instructors. A certificate is awarded at the successful completion of this phase certifying your training in the Dr. Ida P. Rolf Method of Structural Integration. Prerequisite: Successful completion of GSI Phase II Auditing Phase II and Phase III Cadaver Lab-10:00am-12:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2022 Closing Circle Friday, November 4, 2022 Phase III students only: Practitioner in Practice Week: Monday, November 7 - Friday, November 11, 2022 9:00am-6:00pm with a 1-hour midday lunch. 40 credit hours
